Explora más allá de las cifras: Juventud, emprendimiento y desarrollo
An in-depth look at rural youth in Colombia through the characterization of La MEEJR
This characterization allows us to establish a crucial milestone in our commitment to the development and well-being of rural, peasant, ethnic, diverse, and working-class youth in the country. For the Rural Youth Employability and Entrepreneurship Roundtable (MEEJR), these results go beyond data, numbers, or indicators; they represent voices and experiences that immerse us in the realities, aspirations, and challenges faced by the young people linked to our roundtable, connecting us directly with the diversity and richness of rural communities.
As an organization dedicated to promoting rural youth employability and entrepreneurship, this characterization provides us with a valuable roadmap for building inclusive public policies that recognize and empower the talent of rural, ethnic, peasant, diverse, and working-class youth. It allows us to identify key areas for intervention; design programs or projects tailored to real needs; and engage in conversations with governmental and non-governmental entities, establishing more effective strategic alliances. Furthermore, the diversity of the MEEJR reflects a shared commitment to equity and sustainability over time.
These findings not only inform our current actions, but also lay the foundation for a more promising future. Inspired by the stories of resilience emerging from rural communities, we are committed to fostering dialogue, strengthening capacities, and creating opportunities that contribute to positive transformation in the lives of these young people. The MEEJR, in collaboration with strategic partners such as the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation and the National Planning Department, continues to be a beacon of hope and progress for rural youth in Colombia.
